I read and think a lot about laziness and what people think about it. So I made some conclusions and decided to write about that in my geek blog. I want to talk about laziness among people and how to overcome it.
Firstly, a huge amount of people think that laziness is bad. Why? We can’t do new things, can not create and live: our life becomes boring. “If I were more zealous and I can do all this staff which I often dream to do”. Or person can think like this: “Laziness – is when I’m not doing anything“. Sometimes this people fully right, but in my life I have a lot of experience which disprove this point. Now I would like to share my thoughts with you.
As I said people think “Laziness – is when I’m not doing anything” but just imagine what you are doing then you wasting your time; watching TV, playing computer games, eating, listening to music, reading magazines and newspapers, updating your Facebook or watchingYoutube and etc. All those things are not passive – it’s action! Laziness is a useless action if to be right. All this actions stole your time and you think “oh, how did it happened cos I just want to watch only this video?”. Opps. You can read a popular opinions about how to stop being lazing where a “wisdom” guys advice you something like “Just do it!!!”. Nah, I know some better way!

I had problem of laziness in my past. But I found decision. If laziness is an action I should fight with it by passive. So here it is my method. We need a paper and a pen.
Step 1. Write a small task list
Write only 3 (three!) most important things which you want to do today. For example: 1) study english home work, 2) write new post on blog, 3) clean cloths. If you are working make two lists one for work and one for home.
You must make all these 3 thinks done before the end of a day. It will make you a productive person, but you have to do the required minimum of tasks to have free time to do whatever you want after.
Ok, how to do that 3 tasks and how to use your free times properly but not for laziness? Go to step 2.
Step 2. Kill laziness
Everything is simple. You must do nothing! That’s sounds wired, I know, but I use this technic for while and have a nice results. So… suppose you have something to do. You decide (and better – write on a paper), when you start and how long it takes to do that task. Ok, let’s say you start doing your task at 11:00 and will do it next two hours (it means you plan to finnish at 13:00).
At 11:00 you start doing your work but feel some laziness and that’s normal. Your are a human. So – do nothing. Stop all your work. Just cease to do anything at all. Sit or stand in the room, lying is not necessary, it will lead the body into a sleep.
Soon (for me it’s in 5 minutes) you feel that you can continue your work. Your thoughts come clear and you are ready to do your work!
If during the work you will feel an attack of laziness again – simply , stop doing anything. And then return to your work.
This is my simple method which helps me in my life. Just try it and if it doesn’t work for you you can always forget about it!
